Bundle-up and join Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site as they welcome the chilly season at the Winter Solstice Sunrise Observance! Meet at the Woodhenge Reconstruction, west of Monks Mound, by 7 AM for a discussion regarding the discovery, function, and significance of this pre-Columbian calendar. Out of respect for Native American Cultures there will be no ceremonies conducted. This event is Free and Open to the public.
