Imagine Hillsboro's Small Town Christmas combines timeless traditions with cozy family fun to create a unique experience for all ages! Enjoy donuts with Santa, a Christmas vendor market, a petting zoo, a free Christmas movie, carriage rides, and more! Stick around for a gift-wrapping display contest, a crazy Christmas sweater contest, a Cindylou Who lookalike contest, gingerbread house display contest, and a cookie decorating contest!

The Small-Town Christmas event offers exclusive shopping opportunities with local merchants peddling their handmade holiday wares and Hillsboro’s main street businesses open for holiday shopping. Attendees may enjoy traditional holiday foods like bratwurst, Christmas cookies, Gluhwein (mulled wine), and roasted chestnuts, as well as modern favorites, all served up by local businesses and clubs. The Orpheum theater will have two free showings of a classic Christmas movie during the event and there will be fun surprises and activities around every corner of Hillsboro throughout the day.
