Spend an evening watching the sunset and a night beneath the stars while catching a nostalgic film at the Route 66 Skyview Drive-In. For over seventy consecutive years, the Route 66 Skyview has been in operation. Opening in the spring of 1950, the drive-in still retains its original concession stand, offering classic film snacks like popcorn, salted pretzels, nachos, fried favorites, and grill items such as cheeseburgers and fries, chicken tenders, hot dogs, and pizza. Pair your snack with a fountain soda or pick from a variety of classic candies, ice cream, or the daily slush flavor! Hot pick-me-ups like coffee and hot chocolate are also available.

The Route 66 Drive-In is on the Route 66 Hall of Fame and has a Wayside Exhibit featuring stories of the business’ long history in Litchfield and as a famous stop on the Mother Road. The iconic Litchfield stop is the last remaining drive-in still operating on Route 66 in Illinois and one of only four left in the United States! The drive-in uses powerful projectors that cast on an outdoor screen and operates rain or shine- tune into FM radio station 103.1 and listen to themed tracks and your upcoming film.
Don’t want to sit in your car? Bring a lawn chair and stake out in front of your vehicle- just be sure to bring a battery-powered radio (radios are also available to rent from the Snack Bar).

Guests can also watch the film from the concession stand patio which offers picnic tables. Bring the whole family for cheaper than indoor theater prices and make memories at the one-of-a-kind venue. Route 66 Skyview is also family-owned and operated so your ticket supports a local business!

Pop a piece of popcorn, kick back in your car seat, and turn up the volume for a magical evening spent old-school- just like they kicked it in the old days!
