Alton Amphitheater
There’s nowhere in the United States quite like the Alton Amphitheater. Located on the iconic Mississippi and in gorgeous Riverfront Park, the 4,000-seat amphitheater is host to live concerts and performances, festivals, fairs, outdoor movie events, and more. The amphitheater operates spring through fall and the park is open all year. Bring your lawn chair or throw out a blanket and settle in for a musical night under the stars!
Alton Amphitheater has hosted the Mississippi Earthtones Festival, Alton Expo fair, Alton Food Truck Festival, live theater productions, fundraising events and much more.
Riverfront Park is walking distance from downtown Alton restaurants and shopping by crossing a footbridge over Landmarks Boulevard. The park has walking trails, a summer splash pad for kids, is a docking location for passing riverboat cruises, close to a casino, and is a great location to watch fireworks over the river and to take photos of wildlife and the Clark Bridge.
The walking trails through Riverfront Park connect two Madison County Transit trails including one that traverses the Great River Road and another that leads all the way to Granite City and the old Chain of Rocks Bridge.
Looking for a place to host your wedding or fundraiser? The amphitheater and grounds can also be rented for events. Whether public or personal, big bands or local jams, come to Liberty Bank Amphitheater for a beautiful day on the river!
