The Stephenson House is an important landmark in the establishment of Edwardsville as a center of government and commerce as the third oldest city in Illinois. Benjamin Stephenson also played an important role in the emergence of Illinois from a “territory” into the nation’s twenty-first state in 1818. Admission Fees: $6 per adult, $3 per children (6-12 years old), and children ages five and younger get in FREE.
