TIE THE KNOT IN THE PERFECT SPOT

Flowers, photographers, DJ’s, food, and on top of that you have to find the perfect clothes, not to mention the ideal venue. It's stressful, but at the same time it is worth it when you are planning your wedding day!

Here are some helpful tips to help with at least one decision: picking the perfect venue. The Great Rivers and Routes region has some of the most beautiful spots for you to tie the knot. Check out these eight venues that will help make your day even more magical.

Aerie’s Resort

This venue is on the top of the list for weddings and receptions with its breathtaking views and sweet ambiance. It’s a large enough space that fits up to 300 people, so you can invite those relatives that you love so much. Because the view is so nice they put in tall windows all the way around to give you and your guests that 360 view. It also has a large balcony for the warmer days. They not only give you a spot for your wedding they also offer help with planning it and a place to rest your head at the end of the day. Jam out with their built in speaker system and enjoy that first dance on a nicely placed dance floor. This venue is perfect for any type of wedding style and is located right in Grafton where this small town creates large amounts of love.

The Ink House

A former newspaper office is now the perfect spot for an Instagram worthy wedding venue. This is a two for one spot where you can enjoy your elegant ceremony and reception as the staff works quickly to flip the venue and turn it into a relaxed upscale eatery. It includes two rooms that offer different feels: one area is the lounge that has a bar and seating for cute pictures and the second is the main room with high ceilings and plenty of windows for good light flow.

The Ink House is located just off Main Street in Edwardsville. The venue works with the salon 'Blow it Out on Main' to help with hair emergencies or as a styling spot.

The bar is full service and while your guests are admiring the beauty of your wedding they can stop by the photo booth provided. Once all is said and done you will feel in perfect harmony and go home knowing that your wedding was amazing.

Benjamin Godfrey Memorial Chapel

Is a traditional wedding in a church more your style? This is the perfect spot for you! The Benjamin Godfrey Memorial Chapel is small and only rents out for weddings. It will surely leave your guests with happy tears. It fits about 250 people and showcases beautiful arch ways and classic beauty to accompany your wedding style.

The piano or organ can be played for an extra fee and with such a perfect spot, the organ is a must. Now, obviously you can’t bring in food or drinks so that is why you would take the reception over to Lewis and Clark’s Commons building that can hold 300 to 500 people. The venue can customize any event. There is a large dance floor and stage for whatever you may need. Go to the chapel and get married, then get down on the dance floor! Did I mention Lewis and Clark Community College offers perfect spots for gorgeous pictures!

Bluff City Grill

Perfectly located on Broadway in Alton, Bluff City Grill has everything you need to make your day everlasting. Let’s talk about the fact that it has so much space -- it can hold 400+ people which means that more people get to see your special day first hand. There is a private top parking lot and a cute little outdoor covered patio. You have a chance to customize this space as well. There is a full service bar and in house catering by well trained chefs. Before the big day you can get ready in the bridal suite that is a new addition. The dance floor is new and very large with a nice stage usually used for the wedding party table so that everyone can see how beautiful you all look. There are many different packages available that can really make your day the most perfect and special.

Pere Marquette Lodge

Breath taking views make Pere Marquette Lodge & Conference Center a winner in the best wedding ever category. With three venue options this space is can fit up to 700 people. The scenic views and the historic lodge itself set the stage, the only decisions you have to make are the colors and style of your wedding. There is also a full service bar and food. This is a two in one spot that will have your guests spaced out and admiring the beauty in your day. One really sweet perk to having your wedding here is the complementary night stay in a bridal suite. Sit back and relax drinking in the views with the one you love the most.

Post Commons

Picture this: an old post office turned into a coffee shop that also holds large events including weddings and receptions. Wow! This beautiful rustic chic venue is perfect for anyone who wants that great aesthetic feel. With high ceilings and many different room options the place can hold up to 500 people. Enjoy the bar with an endless amount of drink options as the bartenders are well taught. They give you side rooms for the bridal party and the groom party to get ready in and to stash their valuables. You get a nice view and a cute little patio spot for fun pictures and night time star gazing. There isn't in house catering but the venue is very close to many restaurants that can surely cater your reception.

Gateway Convention Center

Do you and your partner have large families and are you worried about where to hold a large wedding? No need to worry with this venue as it holds up to 3,000 people. With all of that room and lots of amenities you can find what will fit with your wedding the best. The venue is only 10 minutes away from Saint Louis which means you can ride around and get great wedding pics at the arch or other spots. The whole place is very open and ready for your own twist so no wedding will look the same. If you need help they have great event planners that can help you decide what you want to do.

Historic Mount Hope Barn

Did you say you wanted a rustic barn wedding? Well this venue has you covered and in the most historically classic way. It holds 260 people inside while providing ample space outside where you can have a wide open wedding. The barn sits near a field and a pond giving it that natural ambiance. Guests sit in church pews and if you need a reverend the owners can help with that too. If you were worried about where you would stay, they offer lodging packages for you and anyone else. Their price includes three days where you set up Friday, have the event on Saturday, and Sunday pack up. It is beautiful, quiet and very personal. They have many package options that fit your style and budget. For a barn wedding this is the best it gets.
