Looking for fall pumpkins to carve? How about a fresh-picked apple? Check out these family-friendly farms and pumpkin patches and find hordes of gourds, pick-your-own apples, early fall sunflowers, and fun the whole family can enjoy!
Boonies Farm- Worden – a trip to Boonies can fill a whole day with fun! Find fresh pumpkins, sunflowers, a giant playground with ziplines, a bounce pillow, and farm animals, get some food, and do some shopping! Boonies is always hosting events and even has a huge corn maze to get lost in!
D&M Orchard and Produce - Hillsboro- Find apples and pumpkins at this popular farm stand!
Demange Farm - St. Jacob- Demange Farm has one of the largest corn mazes in the region and stays open late Saturday nights! Fill your fall day with fun activities including searching for that perfect pumpkin in Demange's patch, shopping from local vendors for autumn crafts and produce, hayrides, a corn pit, and more! Stick around for Demange's Haunted Maze night with spooks just in time for Halloween!
Greene Fields Farm - Greenfield- Greene Fields has a HUGE selection of all types of pumpkins and offers kid’s activities and visits with farm animals!
Hagen Family Orchard - Brussels- Hagen’s offers fresh-picked apples and pumpkins in fall and has a wide variety of locally-made goods available in their farm store.
Jacob’s Orchard - Hardin- Jacob’s Orchard has locally-grown pumpkins and apples at their farm store.
Joe Ringhausen Orchards & Market - Fieldon- Find apples and pumpkins freshly picked at Joe Isringhausen’s market.
Krueger’s Orchard - Godfrey- Pick up a pumpkin to decorate annually at Krueger’s!
Odelehr’s Market - Brussels- Odelehr’s Market is full of lovely fall produce including pumpkins, apples, and everything from pie fillings to jellies and jams!
Relleke Pumpkin Farm - Granite City- Relleke farm hosts fall festivals and activities and sells fresh produce, carving and cooking pumpkins, autumn crafts and décor, offers petting zoo experiences, and more.
Rinkel Pumpkin Farm - Glen Carbon- Look for the perfect pumpkin in Rinkel’s u-pick patch or select one from a large variety of picked pumpkins and gourds. The kids will love the petting zoo, corn maze and straw maze. You can also stock up on colorful fall mums, Indian corn, straw bales and corn stalks for your home decor.
Ringhausen Apple House - Jerseyville- pick your own apples at Ringhausen Apple House located just outside Jerseyville.
Riverbend Flower Farm - Godfrey- stock up on fresh seasonal flowers at Riverbend’s small regenerative flower farm!
Toppmeyer’s Orchard- Brussels - Toppmeyer’s is a roadside stand offering fresh picked apples seasonally.
Get A-Mazed in Southwest Illinois
There are three large corn mazes in southwest Illinois this season! Whether you’re in it to win it, wanting to mingle with some spooks, or just want to spend some time outdoors in the gorgeous fall weather- a corn maze can help you get lost in the moment- and there’s nothing quite as Midwestern as wandering through the corn!
The Great Godfrey Maze returns to corn this year after a years-long stint as a hemp maze. The theme for 2024 is the Peanuts character Snoopy asleep on top of his dog house in a fall pumpkin scene to celebrate 75 years of the beloved American cartoon- weave your way through the design and try to find your way to the end! The Godfrey maze will also feature a haunted maze after dark on Fridays and Saturdays through Oct 26!
Demange Farm’s Corn Maze in St. Jacob is celebrating 150 years on the farm this season and the maze is designed to reflect the anniversary! Wander through the largest corn maze in the region on over 20 acres through designs of farm animals, pumpkins, and barns. Stick around for Demange's Haunted Maze night with spooks just in time for Halloween on Oct 26!
Boonies Farm in Worden also sports a large corn maze. With interactive, educational clues throughout the maze to find and a pumpkin patch just outside, Boonies is a great place to visit in fall for all ages with activities, food, and events throughout the season.
