Soccer at Gordon Moore Park
Dining out at the participating restaurants will provide support to complete the new concession and restroom project planned adjacent to the soccer fields and playbround at Grodeon Moore Park. The campaign is within $80,000 of the $425,000 funding needed for improvements.
This is the first major improvement project for the park in nearly 40 years. The project kicked off in 2017. Planned improvements to the park include a new concession stand with a seating area, the all inclusive playground, renovations to the Muenstermann Building and new bathroom facilities.
Gordon Moore Park Soccer Fields
Gordon Moore Park was developed 40 years ago by community leaders and labor unions. The park attracts over 1 million cars annually, according to the Park and Recreation Department. Visitors watch soccer tournaments, baseball, softball and other sporting events, enjoy the Nan Elliott Rose Garden, fish, or play a round of golf at the renowned Spencer T. Olin Golf Course.
